Council Charter
ICHAI operates in accordance with its Charter, which defines:

- •Advisory (non-binding) nature
- •Limits of authority
- •Governance and transparency commitments
- •Conflict-of-interest principles
The Charter is publicly available.
Stewardship Role
ICHAI acts as steward for the Human-Governed Intelligence Protocol (HGIP), a voluntary global reference framework.
Stewardship includes:
- •Interpretive guidance
- •Advisory dialogue
- •Periodic review support
ICHAI does not certify, enforce, or mandate compliance with HGIP.
Independence & Ethics
ICHAI maintains independence through:

- •Non-exclusive funding principles
- •Separation from commercial certification activities
